Good To Know
Flex Fuel FAQ
Do I need bigger injectors or a bigger pump?
E85 needs roughly 30% more fuel volume than gasoline. Stock-ish power is usually fine on the factory pump and injectors. Higher-output or boosted builds should plan injector and pump headroom for full E85.
Will it harm fuel system?
Most modern fuel systems are designed to handle ethanol. California gas is usually approx 10% ethanol out of the pump so most modern cars address this with stainless fuel lines and ethanol resistant soft lines. If adding to a vehicle manufactured before the 2000's, its a good idea to replace any soft or rubber lines with modern ethanol resistant fuel lines.
Is the install reversible?
Yes — it's a sensor and a signal harness. The hardware comes back out and the tune can be flipped back to straight gasoline anytime.
Can Hi-Rev just tune it for me?
Absolutely. Buy the kit and add a mail-in or in-house flex tune — send a datalog, ship us the pcm or bring the car and we'll dial in the blend table, timing, and fueling.
