Common Questions
What’s the difference between Blue/Red and Blue/Green?
Blue/Red (0411 PCM) is drive-by-cable for Gen-3 24x LS engines. Blue/Green (P59 PCM) is drive-by-wire for electronic throttle body applications. Gen-4 E38 setups are drive-by-wire only.
Why does the E38 price change with transmission?
Adding automatic trans control (4L60, 4L80, 6L80) requires additional TCM wiring, bringing the E38 price to $700. A manual trans requires no trans wiring and is $600.
Does this work with Holley, FuelTech, or Fitech ECUs?
BP Auto harnesses are designed for the OEM GM PCM (HP Tuners compatible). Holley, FuelTech, and Fitech systems use their own harnesses.
Is a tune required after installing?
Yes. The harness is hardware — you still need a custom HP Tuners tune. We offer in-house dyno tuning and remote calibration. Ask about harness + tune packages.
